Excellent condition used English (stamped) Pony Saddle, (Unknown make). 16" from cantel to stud (A small 16" saddle). 7" from D to D. 8" from Stud (below D ring) to Stud (below D ring). 5" from bottom of front gullet. Would say this lovely saddle is medium wide - wide fitting (please note this is only my opinion - see measurements). Very slight knee role (does not stick out when viewing saddle from front) but perfect to keep little jockeys slightly more secure in the leg. All straps in sound order. Very comfortable saddle, has Spring Seat and Flexible points. Usual signs of wear with used saddle but not obvious scratches or split leather work. Please use photographs as part of item description. Unfortunately this saddle is surplus to requirements as whilst it fits the pony, it doesn't fit the child it was intended for! It is in extremely good condition and as the photos show is leather with serge panels and synthetic flaps so is the best of all worlds! It has a wide gullet & wide panels to distribute the weight of the rider away from the spine, and is designed to fit awkward-shaped native ponies with broad flat backs & no withers. I do not have space in my tack room for all the saddles that I have found really useful and comfortable so am having a clear-out and getting rid of everything very cheaply! I have listed this item elsewhere so may end the auction early, but I am happy for anyone near to RG9 to view it, or else to try it on. I myself have had a nightmare with various courier companies that claim to not be able to find the house or find anyone at home, so I am happy to send at cost via the buyer's preferred company, in the meantime I will list P+P as £15, but it could well be less

16'' pony saddle. This saddle has been scuffed on the cantle and some stitching is coming loose but it is basically sound and very comfortable. Has front d rings for grass rein or breastplate attachments and has a d ring at the back to attach a crupper so is suitable for a pony with low withers. It measures approx 6.5-7'' d to d (please see photo) and comes with 4.5'' safety stirrups. The rubbers have perished on these but can be replaced very cheaply, I just haven't had a chance to do so.   The saddle has been unused for a while and stored in a tack room so could do with being oiled.

I am absolutely gutted that this saddle doesn't fit any of my current ponies as it is extremely comfortable (even when I squeeze myself into it!) and puts the rider in a great position. Would make a great WHP saddle as although there is plenty of knee roll it also accommodates a big shoulder. Has been used on a flat-backed Welsh section B with no withers as well as a Connemara who is a similar shape but now needs an extra wide. Having had a bit of a nightmare with specific courier companies that cannot seem to make the effort to see if anyone is at home, I am happy to send at cost using whichever service the buyer prefers, so will list P+P at £15, but it may well be less. Local collection is also a possibility and I am happy for the purchaser to view the saddle and try it on before the end of the auction. Also listed elsewhere, so may end auction early. I know I would get more money for this saddle if I sold it via my local saddler, but I have a tiny tack room and not enough space for lots of spare saddles!
