Details about   16" MW Ideal pony saddle

I am absolutely gutted that this saddle doesn't fit any of my current ponies as it is extremely comfortable (even when I squeeze myself into it!) and puts the rider in a great position. Would make a great WHP saddle as although there is plenty of knee roll it also accommodates a big shoulder. Has been used on a flat-backed Welsh section B with no withers as well as a Connemara who is a similar shape but now needs an extra wide. Having had a bit of a nightmare with specific courier companies that cannot seem to make the effort to see if anyone is at home, I am happy to send at cost using whichever service the buyer prefers, so will list P+P at £15, but it may well be less. Local collection is also a possibility and I am happy for the purchaser to view the saddle and try it on before the end of the auction. Also listed elsewhere, so may end auction early. I know I would get more money for this saddle if I sold it via my local saddler, but I have a tiny tack room and not enough space for lots of spare saddles!

1 pair of used dark brown leather reins. Plaited design with billet fastenings and silver buckle at end. Good used condition, no rips or tears, all stitching tight. Only fault is the buckle at the end has the end chopped off (see photos) doesnt affect use and cannot be seen in use. Slight signs of wear on parts of the leather but very minor. See photos for details of condition. No cracks. Sanitised, cleaned and treated with effax leather balm to nourish the leather. Gorgeous 17.5inch brown leather Ideal saddle in very good condition, there is a bite mark on the pommel of the saddle, I made the classic mistake of leaving it on stable door for a moment while I turned my back and my boy decided to try and eat it! but all in all has been well looked after, always oiled and cleaned and kept with saddle cover on. There is the usual wear to where stirrup leathers lay. It is 8.5inch from D to D, I would say it was more of a medium width. Sadly doesn't fit my new youngster so am having to part with it. It does have some sentimental value as it was for my boy who I sadly lost to sever colic this year and therefore it's been hard to make the decision to sell it. I hope it can find a new home as it's a lovely saddle and has a lot of use left in it! I would prefer buyer to collect however would post if anyone was interested.

Brown English leather Ideal saddle Company saddle. This saddle was checked last week by a master saddler and is sound. It's a dead on medium fit with a 17" seat. I bought this saddle a few weeks ago but my horse has changed shape dramatically and therefore no longer fits. It has a very deep comfortable seat which encourages a correct riding position. It's been very well looked after by previous owner. It does have the usual marks where the leathers sit but when mounted you can't even see them. All girth straps are in full working order and both d rings are in place. There is a very slight amount of rust around the d rings as expected but doesn't affect the use in any way. Please make sure you measure your horse correctly as I don't accept returns. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to answer all questions as best I can. Saddle is advertised else where so I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold before auction end.
