Unfortunately this saddle is surplus to requirements as whilst it fits the pony, it doesn't fit the child it was intended for! It is in extremely good condition and as the photos show is leather with serge panels and synthetic flaps so is the best of all worlds! It has a wide gullet & wide panels to distribute the weight of the rider away from the spine, and is designed to fit awkward-shaped native ponies with broad flat backs & no withers. I do not have space in my tack room for all the saddles that I have found really useful and comfortable so am having a clear-out and getting rid of everything very cheaply! I have listed this item elsewhere so may end the auction early, but I am happy for anyone near to RG9 to view it, or else to try it on. I myself have had a nightmare with various courier companies that claim to not be able to find the house or find anyone at home, so I am happy to send at cost via the buyer's preferred company, in the meantime I will list P+P as £15, but it could well be less

Beautiful and user friendly Santa Cruz general purpose saddle for sale. Santa Cruz is a respected luxurious saddlery brand based in Argentina - they have a great website if you Google them. Instead of traditional stuffing the saddle is made with premoulded foam panels – very comfortable for your horse as the weight of the rider is spread more evenly across the saddle. Very easy to maintain as does not need regular restuffing as with traditional stuffing. The saddle seat is extremely comfortable for the rider as well, great for long days on horseback! Premoulded foam panels/bumps on the inside of the saddle, beneath the saddle flaps (see pictures) help maintain good leg positioning while in the saddle.   I have measured the saddle as:   inches from stud to cantle 13.5 inches at widest point of saddle flaps 8 inches from D ring to D ring   Fitted a 16hh thoroughbred.   Very smart light brown/tan colour with black girth straps. Just spent a day cleaning it so it’s ready to go!   Great all round saddle, slightly forward cut but comfortable for all disciplines and general usage. This is a beautiful, quality piece of saddlery with many more years of usage to give.   Has had some cosmetic wear and tear – there is a patch of wear on the saddle seat (right where the rider sits, near the pommel) so the leather there is paler. Some wear around the back of the cantle where the leather is scratched and worn. Wear to the panels on the saddle flaps (the ones that cushion the riders knees) and around the edge of the saddle flaps. The girth straps are a little stretched through usage (as can be expected with leather) and they have stained the inside of the saddle flaps, and there is some rubbing from girth buckles.   The D rings are a little rusty. No wear and tear beyond what generally comes with frequent usage.   Included with the saddle is: A red saddle stand with a useful storage compartment – very unique and very useful! A leather girth – quite stiff and buckles have some rust but still in good working order A pair of stirrup leathers – have had some wear and some superficial cracks can be seen but still in good working order   Shipping can be discussed.   Any questions please do let me know – a saddle is an important purchase! Saddle is a little older and has the normal signs of wear and good use but is in an overall very good condition. I have had it for 1 year and it has been unused and kept safely stored away. Saddle was purchased as a dressage saddle but the knee rolls are slightly angled so would easily do as a gp saddle. Perfect if you are looking for a relatively cheap or starter saddle. This saddle was bought from Calcutts a year ago. It is well looked after and is in very good condition for its age. There is some scuffing to the underside of the pommel which doesn't affect it's use.   The saddle is a little bit too big for our pony. I can post, but at buyers expense.
