I have come to the very tough decision to sell this lovely boy to some one who can reach and enjoy his full potential. I have owned him since December but due to business commitments, I'm not able to do as much with him as I would like to and I know he's got so much more to give. Honest advert, 7yo 16h TB gelding for sale

Gerry has been with us since last October, he's showing a lot of talent in jumping (has jumped up to 1m) and has nice and steady paces. He's been to two local riding club shows earlier this month and behaved impeccably and enjoyed himself very much. On the ground he is a very friendly and sweet horse who loves attention and a fuss. Sadly since he's been to the shows his behaviour has become quite bad, he is challenging authority and has reared twice now when being led (with a week of good behaviour in between). We have owned Barkway Sandstorm ('Charlie') for the last nine years. He is a registered section B Welsh palomino. He is from excellent Welsh bloodlines including Orielton Aristocrat and Rotherwood State Occasion and has striking looks. My daughter has ridden him as a lead rein, first and second pony since the age of nine but is leaving for university in September. I would like to find someone else to enjoy him as she did, as he loves being in work. I would describe him as a second pony as he can sometimes be spooky or forward hacking although he is quiet when schooling. My daughter is not a competitive rider but in earlier years she did compete with Charlie at small gymkhanas, cross pole jumping classes and walk and trot tests. They have been on several fun rides. Mainly he has been used for hacking on the country lanes and common near our home where he hacks alone or in company and is never nappy. He has also attended indoor pony club rallies. He has a good jump up to 2ft 3 but can be spooky with any fillers or strange jump wings. He goes barefoot and is good with the farrier. He has never been clipped. Fine to load. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth and worming. He has had laminitis but not for the last five years, so management of his grazing will keep him clear of this.
