I have come to the hard decision to sell my best friend. Harley is 11 year old, 16.1hh chestnut thoroughbred gelding. We have owned him for the past 5 years where he was brought as a project. He is a fast learner and has been to a couple of local shows both show jumping and cross country. However due to myself going back into education he has only been hacked for the past year. He hacks both in company and on his own. Prefers to take the lead when in company. Harley is good with the farrier, dentist, no stable vices. Snaffle mouth. Gets on with both mares and geldings. Up to date with vaccinations, worming, teeth and feet. Lives in or out and is a good doer considering he is a thoroughbred. Harley has lovely sable manners and is very affectionate, would stand for hours being cuddled, groomed and pampered. He equally can be turned out for days and would still love you. Harley is a dream to own, easy to look after and will fit around your lifestyle. Harley does not have a nasty bone in his body he is very forgiving. Harley is not a novice ride, he needs to be sold to an experienced rider who has preferably dealt with thoroughbreds before. He is not a horse you can bully and needs a quiet confident rider. Harley is visually confident but is sensitive to sound. For example when hacking if he sees a tractor, bus etc he is fine. However is he hears something behind him and cannot see it he tends to panic. By panic he does not rear or buck but shoot forward. 6 year old 13hh Fell cross gelding - Companion/Project

I am offering for sale my 6 year old fell cross gelding. Bertie was bought as a companion 3 years ago for company for my injured horse who needed a quiet life. Over the 3 years with us he has been a companion for different horses. He will turn out with any horse or pony and is no trouble at all. He is good to do, lives out all year round although we do rug and hard feed him in winter. He is never sick or sorry, good to do in all ways but does prefer a sensitive person as he can be quite nervy. He will stay alone in field or stable and is not remotely bothered if another horse is taken away from him. We backed and broke Bertie 2 years ago. He is extremely sharp, requires an experienced rider. he was ridden away for around 3 months but due to time commitments i could not continue his education and he hasn't been ridden since. With 3 other ponies all in work we do not have the time to bring him back into work now. We have taken Bertie to a couple of in hand shows where he has always been in the ribbons! He will happily stand on the trailer all day, just enjoys being out. I am selling as a companion due to how sharp he can be ridden.
