I have come to the hard decision to sell my best friend. Harley is 11 year old, 16.1hh chestnut thoroughbred gelding. We have owned him for the past 5 years where he was brought as a project. He is a fast learner and has been to a couple of local shows both show jumping and cross country. However due to myself going back into education he has only been hacked for the past year. He hacks both in company and on his own. Prefers to take the lead when in company. Harley is good with the farrier, dentist, no stable vices. Snaffle mouth. Gets on with both mares and geldings. Up to date with vaccinations, worming, teeth and feet. Lives in or out and is a good doer considering he is a thoroughbred. Harley has lovely sable manners and is very affectionate, would stand for hours being cuddled, groomed and pampered. He equally can be turned out for days and would still love you. Harley is a dream to own, easy to look after and will fit around your lifestyle. Harley does not have a nasty bone in his body he is very forgiving. Harley is not a novice ride, he needs to be sold to an experienced rider who has preferably dealt with thoroughbreds before. He is not a horse you can bully and needs a quiet confident rider. Harley is visually confident but is sensitive to sound. For example when hacking if he sees a tractor, bus etc he is fine. However is he hears something behind him and cannot see it he tends to panic. By panic he does not rear or buck but shoot forward. This is rare but need him to go to the right home to get the best out of him. 5* home is a must for this much loved boy. Harley will be sold from the field due to me being at university for the past 4 months and not having the time he deserves. No timewasters please this is a heart breaking sale as it is. Such a heart breaking decision but my beautiful Irish Thoroughbred is up for sale. I currently can now no longer ride as I am waiting for a back operation and will be unable to walk for months, so this is the best choice for my boy. Xander has come such a long way coming from a bad previous home. He has been ridden by a novice but I want him to go too a home with experience. He needs a lot more schooling and hacking out (walk trot) to build his muscle up as he was very under nourished. He is currently coming back into work being lunged and ridden slowly after having a rest. He is a very lazy ride but slight squeeze and he will listen, so no leg kickers!! I am only wanting him to go too a 10* home as he is a very loved boy, so experienced people only please. He needs to go to someone with a kind hand, I am very gentle with Xander and that's the sort of home I want him to go too. St. Clerans Cracker 14h 6 year old fully registered Connemarra gelding by Kilmore Diamond. Cracker is a quality pony who never ceases to amaze me, he always tries his heart heart out and is the happiest sole to be around. Cracker is a straight forward ride and is schooling very well on the flat, he has lovely paces and is working in a soft outline always enjoying his work. He has been to various venues for lessons, schooling and jumping including riding club clinics, dressage, show jumping and arena eventing. Cracker was placed 2nd in his first dressage test and has clears showjumping and arena eventing at cm. He is currently jumping small courses and grids and is growing in confidence more and more, has jumped 90cm at home with plenty of scope also cross country schooling schooling over all sorts including ditches and water. Cracker is jumping all kinds of fences and has never stopped, including fillers, water trays, skinny's, bounces, corners, brushes, barrels, tyres, ditches etc. He is always ridden in a snaffle and isn't ever silly or strong in open spaces. Cracker is hacking out well with others in the open and through the village passing farm machinery, he canters out sensibly even if the horse in front plays up and shoots off, he sensibly stays back without a bother. Cracker travels very well on his own and in company (baby sitting other horses) and stands like a rock at busy competitions. He is very well mannered and quiet to handle, brilliant to clip, bath, load, catch, lead with others and is also good with the farrier, dentist, back lady etc. I would love for Cracker to go to a home where a small quiet competent rider can do a bit of everything with him, if I was to be keeping him we would be doing BS, BE, lots more riding club and dressage this year. He is fit and ready to compete and have fun! Harley is a great pony from the ground and fabulous around children, young and old, allowing even the youngest to handle him. He will stand all day to be groomed and petted. He has never put a foot wrong on the lead rein but when off of this he has at times a habit of napping unpredictably when ridden out hacking or in the school. For this reason he is unsuitable for young riders off of the lead rein or inexperienced older riders. He has a superb jump, never refusing but can nap at times, especially when competing.
