13 year old, 12’2hh Dartmoor Gelding A much loved, unregistered Dartmoor, been in the same home for last six years, used as a lead rein then second pony. Has hacked, hunted and pony clubbed. Richard is an absolute poppet to do, will stand to be groomed all day and is easy to clip, load and shoe (currently barefoot). He is kind and gentle, happy to have children all round him, he has never bitten or kicked. He really has the sweetest nature. Always fit and healthy, never had laminitis, sweet itch or other. ??Jack ?? 13.2hh 6yo gelding Jack is a gorgeous chunky gelding. He is a real 'people pony' who will stand stock still all day to be cuddled, bathed & groomed he's a very affectionate pony! He has low mileage for his age, and so I'm inclined to describe him as 'green', however he is a safe, straightforward ride and I feel would do an excellent job for the whole family. He looks after the youngest riders on the lead rein and is content to go for a quiet stroll but he enjoys his work too and does have another gear if you ask for it! He loves to have a good canter and will happily pop a small log or cross pole. Jack will be ideal for fun rides / local shows /riding lessons / happy hacking / generally just a fab all round family pony! Jack is a comfortable steady ride - he's certainly not 'fizzy' but he's not a 'kick along' plod either he's easy off the leg and has nice forward paces. He always aims to please. Jack is the happiest of happy hackers she will go alone or in company / good in traffic / sensible in open spaces / not 'spooky' / snaffle mouth etc... no vices he hasn't ever reared / bolted but can put the odd buck in in canter although with regular work I feel that this will stop completely. Moving forward I feel that jack has a lot more to offer so I would like him to go to a reasonably competent home able to continue his education and who will take him out and about and enjoy having fun with him.
