This is beautiful Joseph Fitter Victorian oak extending wind-out dining table on turned legs and original castors. Extending from 125cm to 180cm by use of a worm gear & crank handle mechanism. With a spare leave it comfortable sits 6-8 people and stores away perfectly for those bigger occasion. Solid, sturdy, quality piece - in very good antique condition. This beautiful set of Six Quality Classic oak high back antique dining chairs date from Victoria period circa . They have beautiful details of high back. They stand on four beautiful legs, front legs are turned reeded and stand on castors. The oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax. They have dark green upholstery This dining table is English and was built sometime after and perhaps as late as . The table has a distinctive feature called a screw expander. A screw expander is a device which is mounted under the table which expands the table to accommodate additional leave.
