11.2 hh 11yo Grey (some of the time) Welsh Section A Gelding - Striker Striker is a cherub. He will happily do the lead rein bit with the wobbly just starting off riders. He will hack up the lanes unfazed by any cars, vans, bikes, tractors coming past, and he will happily stand and wait for traffic to pass. He will go round and round and round a schooling area, walking over poles and weaving around cones. Striker has a sweet little trot and a nice rhythmic canter with the sweetest little pop over a small jump, which he will happily do on the lead or off. He has been across wide open fields and down woodlands and little foresty areas and he's impeccably behaved, standing and waiting for gates to be opened without getting fidgety. He has been put to harness and pulled a little cart before we owned him, however this is not something we have done with him. Striker will happily do the circuits on the lead rein with a 3 year old or step up for a more able jockey, happily carrying 8 stone with a 5'5 rider. Striker has the presence, movement and the look to excel in the show ring, however I wouldn't recommend this as his forte as he also has the hygiene and cleanliness of a wart hog !!! Sadly for sale due to new baby and lack of interest, top class lead rein show pony, this pony has only been lightly shown by me due to lack of time and interest from my children, I now have a new baby on the way and she is completely going to waste. With her previous owners she was shown to a high standard and in her 1st season in was 4th at Royal Windsor Show and also qualified for the RIHS. Totally home produced she is easy to do in every way and has safely carried both my 7year old (now out grown) and my 5 year old into busy showing rings for the last 2 years with no calmers, ear plugs and hardly any working in.
