30 Hour Cottage Oak Long case Grandfather Clock. circa cm High, 42 cm wide and approx. 20 cm deep The clock is cottage size, it will fit in any modern house. Beautiful Oak case with lovely inlay. Runs perfect and keeps good time The clock face is in very good condition and the date wheel seems to move. I have had to fit a modern lock to the door, the door had been forced open by the last owner as they lost the key. It has just had an oil service and bees wax polish. George Honeybone came from a family of over 100 years and 4 generations of clockmakers in Fulford, Gloucestershire. He was born in the son of Richard Honeybone. George worked in Fairford from to , and this clock dates from c. The Fairford History Society states: "Honeybone clocks are now much sought after today, particularly in the Cotswolds as they represent fine examples of local craftsmanship and a link to Fairford's past".
