Rosewood veneer with attractive inlay made from boxwood. This piece would benefit from minor restoration where the drawer fronts have shrunk lifting the veneer. For a keen restorer this is a straightforward job. This Davenport is furnished with a very attractive olive green skiver with gilded tooling. This pretty desk is finished with a shaped oak gallery top and stands on impressive pierced shaped support legs finished with tiny Brass casters. Dimensions Overall height 89cm Overall width 55.5cm Overall depth 46cm Condition Overall the condition is very good for its age, with a good rich patina to the Oak. The lock is missing and the gallery needs some attention but it is whole and in place. Please see images closely. A truly lovely lamp, it has a Brass stem and font, and mounted on a very heavy black base (possibly bakerlite) The shade is clear glass, with an eye catching twist and ruffled top edge.
