Gilmore Jr. 1/2 Watt Tube Guitar Amp

For sale is my great little Gilmore Jr. 1/2 Watt Tube Amp - and 2 watt mod. I used this for a little while with a 1x12 cab trying to keep my volume down whilst still playing a great vintage tube amp sound. I also have the valve and adaptor that take it up to 2 watts - still not that loud but an even cleaner sound. New it would be around £420 plus shipping and import duty AND it would come as a kit - you would have to build it. I barely use it now as I moved to an even smaller amp. Also - I am sure there are plenty of people discussing its great “articulation at lower volume” and other things that make this such a unique little amp. I might consider trade for a guitar cab. I first came across the Classic series after looking up Simon Neil's (of Biffy Clyro) guitar rig. Anyone who has seen them live will be aware of how great his guitar sounds. He uses a Classic 30 and a Delta Blues in his rig I believe! Anyway, I cannot keep them all, although they will eventually be put to use in the studio if I cant shift them. Immaculate Condition Vintage WEM Valve guitar amp as used by David Gilmore and Jimmy Page.

Early 70's handbuilt British made guitar amp with original Celestion Rola speaker and old stock Mullard valves. As used by Jimmy Page and Pink Floyd (Google watkinsguitars for pics) Beautiful sustaining shimmering clean sounds and easy to overdrive. Top boost switch on channel one gives a beautiful sustained vintage Fenderish sound. Channel two is a cross between Fender and Marshall. Speaker is Celestion Rola 20watt 12 Ohms Valves are all 60's Mullard except one pre amp valve which is an old Russian Electro Harmonix. The amp has been sitting in the cupboard for at least a year. Beautiful Peavey ValveKing Watt Guitar Amplifier in absolutely mint condition - almost as new! Originally cost over £500 with £££s spent since then! Open to sensible offers! It has spent its whole life in my house and has never really been past the bottom couple of volume settings on the dial! Every switch and dial works perfectly. Each time it has been used it has been powered on first, allowed to warm up and then used as normal. This allows the valves to prepare for use without the possibility of power surges. The vinyl is in perfect condition, the mesh is as new without rips or scrapes and the faceplate is unmarked. You will be buying what is essentially a brand new amp! Both the power and preamp valves have been replaced last year with high quality, uprated versions from JJ, Tung-Sol, Electro Harmonix and General Electrics at a cost of nearly £150! This has really given the set a new lease of life, providing a much richer tone with sparkly high notes and more rounded bass. The electrics have been fully checked over and the two speakers have been reseated. I honestly cannot emphasise this enough: this unit is almost like brand new! With all of that in mind I believe the price I am asking for is fair, although I am open to sensible offers.
