Great sounding little amp for practice, recording or small gigs. This amp is in as new condition, with all standard components, except that I've added a built in reverb. The reverb can be switched out from the front panel - in which case the amp circuit is EXACTLY as original - or, when switched in it can be dialled in to give as little or as much effect as needed. I will provide a full circuit diagram of the modification which was designed and installed by a professional (BBC) electronics engineer. I have done one or two small gigs with this amp and used it for recording and practice sessions. It is fairly loud for it's size but don't expect it to keep up with a rock drummer! These amps do sound better through a larger speaker (I tried wiring it up to a 2 x 12" cab and it sounded awesome) but, obviously, a lot of the appeal is its small size and weight. Beautiful Peavey ValveKing Watt Guitar Amplifier in absolutely mint condition - almost as new! Originally cost over £500 with £££s spent since then! Open to sensible offers! It has spent its whole life in my house and has never really been past the bottom couple of volume settings on the dial! Every switch and dial works perfectly. Each time it has been used it has been powered on first, allowed to warm up and then used as normal. This allows the valves to prepare for use without the possibility of power surges. The vinyl is in perfect condition, the mesh is as new without rips or scrapes and the faceplate is unmarked. You will be buying what is essentially a brand new amp! Both the power and preamp valves have been replaced last year with high quality, uprated versions from JJ, Tung-Sol, Electro Harmonix and General Electrics at a cost of nearly £150! This has really given the set a new lease of life, providing a much richer tone with sparkly high notes and more rounded bass. The electrics have been fully checked over and the two speakers have been reseated. I honestly cannot emphasise this enough: this unit is almost like brand new! With all of that in mind I believe the price I am asking for is fair, although I am open to sensible offers. For sale is my great little Gilmore Jr. 1/2 Watt Tube Amp - and 2 watt mod. I used this for a little while with a 1x12 cab trying to keep my volume down whilst still playing a great vintage tube amp sound. I also have the valve and adaptor that take it up to 2 watts - still not that loud but an even cleaner sound. New it would be around £420 plus shipping and import duty AND it would come as a kit - you would have to build it. I barely use it now as I moved to an even smaller amp.
