I've always loved the sound of these amps when I've come across them through my work as an engineer, and when I saw these up for sale I couldn't resist buying them, as I don't see them up for sale all too often, and especially not in this great condition. I first came across the Classic series after looking up Simon Neil's (of Biffy Clyro) guitar rig. Anyone who has seen them live will be aware of how great his guitar sounds. He uses a Classic 30 and a Delta Blues in his rig I believe! Anyway, I cannot keep them all, although they will eventually be put to use in the studio if I cant shift them. For sale is my Peavey Classic 30. I've not had it long, but it just isn't what I was looking for so it sadly has to move on to make way for other things. This amp is in full working order, just with some minor points noted below: Aside from the obvious cosmetic damage around the bottom of the wrapping, and the tarnished control panel, it's worth noting that the power lead has been replaced on this with a much higher grade of rubber cable and durable 13A plug rather than the old, degrading cable that was supplied. This cable is held in place by a "P" clip just inside the chassis, as it doesn't fit in the original cable gland. The previous owner also had the power transformer recently replaced. This is a great blues amp, the clean channel is gorgeous and the OD channel can do some fantastic crunchy tones, it just isn't for me.
