Gavin is a very sweet natured and gentle boy. As you can see from his coat and skin, he has not had a great time of it. In fact, he was found abandoned, locked in a van with 3 other greyhounds on an allotment. He, along with the others was just left, to dog knows what fate if he had not been found. Isn’t he lovely? Smithy is a fabulous young greyhound lad. Dumped on an allotment with 3 other hounds. Left to their fate, It was purely by chance they were found. Ex racer not objected to but must be sound calm and used to other dogs of all sizes as I have a Jack Russell x Paterdale. The dog must be fully inoculated and evidence of this is required. Charlie is a cute little crossbreed chap and he is looking for love. Charlie will be 7 months old as of and he has had a very sheltered life so far. As a result of this, he can be a little wary of strangers. Once he knows you mean no harm, he’s the friendliest lad you could wish to meet. With other dogs, Charlie can be a little wary too, but seems ok with calmer dogs. A lack of socialisation as a pup has left this lovely lad with some insecurities, but with time, patience and love, all this could be worked on. Gil joined us recently, and as you can see, he’s not in a great state Very skinny, sores on his body, scabby ears and hair loss. He has flat front feet, which typically suggests he’s been run too early and too far as a puppy. From that it would be a safe guess he has probably been worked. Mickey, Male, Lurcher - Shrewsbury

Mickey sadly came back to rescue after his older owner felt she couldn’t give him the exercise and stimulation he needs. He loves a good run around and needs an active home where he will get the lifestyle he needs. He wasn’t happy being walked on a lead up the lane for short walks, so he will need a chance to stretch his legs and have a good mooch around when outside. He is a very friendly boy. He can be a little timid at times until he knows and trusts you, but is such a loving dog once he feels confident with you. He is typically good with other dogs, probably best suited to a home with no cats or small furries, and we would prefer if any children, that they are of an age where they can respect his space – ideally age 11+. Blu, Male, Ambull - Shrewsbury

Blu is a gorgeous American Bulldog. He has some hearing problems on his left side, but otherwise fine. Blu is sadly having to find a new home as the older resident dog is not happy sharing his space. His current owner says 'Blu is a very lovely affectionate dog, full of happiness and just wants to be with you all the time giving cuddles and kisses. Loves to chase a ball, and play fetch, but is still learning to give it up without a bribe. Great recall, very good off lead, but lead walking needs some work. Can be left at home during the days, but needs a good run before and after as can be destructive of letters, books, and things lying around, as he's very curious, but never furniture. He has a huge appetite, but needs to remember his manners like 'wait' and 'gentle', so continuous training is needed. He can be possessive over toys, and snatchy with food so would be best in a home with no young children until he learns that it's OK and nobody is stealing his food or toys. Blu is fully house trained and doesn't seem to be reactive to cats, or other small animals (lives with rats currently), and when he's playing fetch he's not interested in other dogs. When he's not playing fetch he can be a little nervous of dogs that come running up to him. If a dog reacts to him, he will react back, then takes a few minutes to calm down. Blu needs an owner who is experienced in bully breeds, has the time to continue his training, and give him the attention he deserves. Until he grows in confidence he would probably be best as an only dog in a child free home'. Can anyone offer Blu that opportunity please? As handsome as his sisters are pretty, meet the boy of the litter, Romeo! Abandoned with his Mum and siblings. They were left to fend for themselves, but luckily handed in to rescue. Romeo, l ike his sisters, is a 12 weeks old () ambull x staffy x boxer baby. This means he will need a pretty special home where folk can commit to puppy classes, ongoing training and socialisation.
