A very pretty, gentle and kind greyhound girl. Stacey was abandoned in a van on an allotment with 3 other dogs. Luckily, they were found and came into rescue. Having had a bit of time to settle in, they are now looking for homes. Stacey is currently sharing her kennel with Gavin. They are great friends; enjoying a mooch in the field and a quick zoom about when given the chance. All the greyhounds deserve loving homes, where there is a comfy space to call their own. Joseph, Male, Collie - Shrewsbury

Joseph, Male, Collie - Shrewsbury

Joseph is a very sweet natured and affectionate collie boy who likes nothing more than cuddles and fuss. We feel he is probably an ex farm dog from his behaviour and preferences. As you can see, he does rather love his bed in the hay! A super friendly boy, he loves playing with some of the other dogs, the girls especially. Some of the boys spook him so probably best as the only boy in a home. However. it would be lovely to see him have a sister to play with, as he really does enjoy playing with another dog given the chance. We donā€™t normally insist on this, but we feel Joseph needs a home with a garden. He is wary of walking on the lead still and traffic is a bit scary for him. He can get quite timid so a good secure garden is a must at least in the early days whilst he settles in with you and learns to live in a home environment. Sometimes even at kennels he just wants to walk a short distance and then sit and be stroked. He is a quiet boy and we feel he would like a garden to be safe in at first before he meets too much of the big bad world. He would possibly prefer not to be bothered with young children either. He loves fuss and attention, but as he is quite shy, so it would be better for him not to have to contend with young kids. He will also do best in a home where he has company, preferably with another dog (ideally female) and where he is not at home alone too much, too often. Joseph possibly has an issue with his eyes. His pupils seem quite enlarged and if you are a collie lover, you will know that it is not especially unusual for a collie to have eye problems. We will get this checked out thoroughly in due course. Joseph is a fabulous young lad and it would be great to see him getting the cuddles and fuss that he so loves in his own Furever Home. In summary Josephā€™s ideal home will be a quiet adult home with a lovely secure garden in a quiet part of the world. If he can share that home with a female friendly dog, he would be very happy as he loves to play with other female dogs. He can be a bit overwhelmed by boys. His shy and quiet nature will need patience, calm and the chance to settle in and relax. Please read our article 'Are You Really Ready To Adopt A Rescue Dog?' before you apply. Thank you! Home check, meeting at the rescue and adoption fee applies. Read More

Mickey, Male, Lurcher - Shrewsbury

Mickey, Male, Lurcher - Shrewsbury

Mickey sadly came back to rescue after his older owner felt she couldnā€™t give him the exercise and stimulation he needs. He loves a good run around and needs an active home where he will get the lifestyle he needs. He wasnā€™t happy being walked on a lead up the lane for short walks, so he will need a chance to stretch his legs and have a good mooch around when outside. He is a very friendly boy. He can be a little timid at times until he knows and trusts you, but is such a loving dog once he feels confident with you. He is typically good with other dogs, probably best suited to a home with no cats or small furries, and we would prefer if any children, that they are of an age where they can respect his space ā€“ ideally age 11+. Mickey is a lovely boy, and he is waiting for the right home. Could that be with you? Please read our article 'Are You Really Ready To Adopt A Rescue Dog?' before you apply. Thank you! Toby, Male, Crossbreed - Shrewsbury

Toby, Male, Crossbreed - Shrewsbury

Could you be the foster or Furever that Toby so desperately needs? He is a complete little love. Fosters need to be local - Shropshire up to the Wirral is fine, but if you can offer Toby a Furever we can look UK wide. Toby is nervous and hand shy, so we do not feel he is suitable to be in a home with young children at the moment. Young children might not understand that he needs time and space and that he is a very scared little boy. Older children and teenagers who can respect that would probably be OK. They must be old enough and sensible enough to be absolutely totally respectful of this boy's current state. Please read our article 'Are You Really Ready To Adopt A Rescue Dog?' before you apply. Thank you! Home check, meeting at the rescue and adoption fee applies. Foster is obviously free. Read More

Blu, Male, Ambull - Shrewsbury

Blu is a gorgeous American Bulldog. He has some hearing problems on his left side, but otherwise fine. Blu is sadly having to find a new home as the older resident dog is not happy sharing his space. His current owner says 'Blu is a very lovely affectionate dog, full of happiness and just wants to be with you all the time giving cuddles and kisses. Loves to chase a ball, and play fetch, but is still learning to give it up without a bribe. Great recall, very good off lead, but lead walking needs some work. Can be left at home during the days, but needs a good run before and after as can be destructive of letters, books, and things lying around, as he's very curious, but never furniture. He has a huge appetite, but needs to remember his manners like 'wait' and 'gentle', so continuous training is needed. He can be possessive over toys, and snatchy with food so would be best in a home with no young children until he learns that it's OK and nobody is stealing his food or toys. Blu is fully house trained and doesn't seem to be reactive to cats, or other small animals (lives with rats currently), and when he's playing fetch he's not interested in other dogs. When he's not playing fetch he can be a little nervous of dogs that come running up to him. If a dog reacts to him, he will react back, then takes a few minutes to calm down. Blu needs an owner who is experienced in bully breeds, has the time to continue his training, and give him the attention he deserves. Until he grows in confidence he would probably be best as an only dog in a child free home'. Can anyone offer Blu that opportunity please?
