Open to sensible offers. A splendid example of a small F H Ayres rocking horse; it is 34 inches tall at the top of the ear. It has recently been the subject of a superb restoration by Kensington Rocking Horses. The restoration has ensured that it has kept it's original paintwork and patina. The horse has glass eyes. It is believed that the horse is very early 20th century. It was originally sold by Gamages Department Store in Holborn, London - the stand still has the original stencil from the shop (see picture - prior to the store was known as A W Gamage Ltd). A rare opportunity to obtain a beautiful example of the most sought after manufacturer of rocking horses.
