Early Victorian day bed which was probably bought in the Portabello Market just after the war when my grandparents at last were able to buy a home of their own. My grandfather, a Dutch Jewish violinist, studied with Anna Freud during the war after he became paraplegic. This was the couch for his patients. The couch needs attention, re upholstery. It was loved and much used by my mother in her older years. The dimensions are approximate. The couch is currently in Hammersmith and must be picked up from there.
