Early Victorian day bed which was probably bought in the Portabello Market just after the war when my grandparents at last were able to buy a home of their own. My grandfather, a Dutch Jewish violinist, studied with Anna Freud during the war after he became paraplegic. This was the couch for his patients. The couch needs attention, re upholstery.
