Yacht Drascombe Lugger

Drascombe Lugger Yacht, Classic Wooden Boat built locally Norman Whyte Findhorn. Seaworthy yachts, these boats have crossed the Atlantic, Pacific and been sailed to Australia. Drascombes can be sailed, rowed, motored ideal for fishing or family recreation. This Lugger is in excellent condition throughout it has been an ideal winter project/refit genuine reason for current sale. Decks are sheathed primed and painted with two coats International Squall Blue Deck Paint, side decks are primed, undercoated and finished with International Danboline. Internal lockers cleaned and painted, with internal buoyancy, plus 4 Crewsaver Bouyancy Bags for side lockers. Bilge epoxied, primed and undercoated finished with two coats of International Danboline. All spars taken back to bare wood and treated with numerous coats of Dek Olej D1 saturator and Dek Olej D2 gloss varnish. Hull has been primed, undercoated and received three coats of International Toplac Atlantic Grey. Below the waterline two coats of grey International Primacon just requires antifoul of choice to complete. Jib, Main and Mizzen sails are probably original and in good order for age. There is a unique 'Piggy Back' trailer, Road Trailer is braked, serviced and in very good order, launching Trailer is a 4 wheeler which is useful for moving the boat around the yard and fits into a normal size garage on this trailer. This little yacht comes with Bilge Pump and Bailer, Pair of Oars, Rowlocks, 4 Crewsaver Buoyancy Bags and Pump, Folding Anchor, Ratchet Strap, Light Board, Old Cover, Tatty cockpit cover useful as a template for new. Asking Price is a fair price to avoid haggling, please note there is no outboard. Loch Ness mooring possibly available by separate negotiation. ft Drascombe Driver classic day boat with yawl rig and watermota shrimp inboard. Built in grp with solid teak woodwork and brass fittings this was an expensive boat when new, and rare as only 55 were built this one being very original. The tan sails (main,jib and mizzen) are relatively new and in very good condition. The varnished spars and rudder are also in very good condition. The hull is original grp and very good condition for a 43 year old boat. The inboard and stern gear is all in working order but might need some attention. The boat sits on a solid galvanised unbraked road trailer with new indespension units.
