A big collection of what i assume to be very old horse riding tack, there are 4 or 5 sections with big loops that look like they go over the neck. 2 or 3 big heavy horse neck loop things and loads and loads of other staps, loops buckles and mouth bits. Everything in photos is in the auction i would prefer to sell as a whole. This will fill an estate car. This is all old heavy leather with many a brass buckle,shackle etc. The padding on the bigger bits is not useable. From what i can work out it was once probably 4 sets for a funeral cart many a year ago and 1 shackle has the old name formed/moulded/engraved into it.

Details about   Antique Horse Drawn Harness Carriage Lamps

A matching pair of antique, Carriage Lamps with pagoda style vents on top and white metal bands around the stem inscribed "Patent No ". There is a small brass collar just under the lower band. The word 'PATENT' also appears on a raised lug on the unglazed side of the lantern (photo 5). Dimensions: Overall length 48cm, Lantern box width 13cm x 13cm, Weight: 1.75 Kg each The bodies of the lamps are in sound condition, the paint job is not original and is chipped/scratched in places. The vent stack on the top has taken some wear in its time (see photos) and the top of one appears to have been replaced - see picture 4. The clear glass windows (front and side aspect) are bevelled and contained within bright metal frames. The small, circular, red glass window (rear aspect) has a copper/brass coloured surround. All the glass is in good condition apart from some superficial scratches on the clear windows which can be seen in the photo details (all windows are shown). The rear window hinges downwards to give access to the interior (see final pics) which is lined with copper reflectors all in good condition. The lamp has been converted for electric lighting, the cable exits via a hole in the bottom of the stem. The oil burner holder (seen in last picture) appears to have been a previous conversion. For its age it's in great condition. I would say this is a full bridle. The other leathers with it I'm not sure if it's to do with driving or showing. Vintage pair of Horse Hames / Harness   These hames are made of wood possibly oak (but I’m no wood expert) with brass strips down the sides and brass rings attached.   The wood is varnished.   The hames measure roughly 36” in length. The solid wood pieces are in great shape. The wood is approx 2-2.5" wide x 1" thick.   The metal keepers, rings, and brackets have some surface rust, but it only adds rustic charm.   The metal Hames hooks have a Kangaroo stamped in to them. Please see pictures.   The leather straps at the top of the hames are in very good condition and has a brass buckle.   Overall they are good enough to use or if you would prefer they also display well, and would look great hanging inside or outside for décor.   Nice collectors’ piece.   This item can either be collected or you can send your own courier service to collect.   Cash on collection is preferred. Please be aware that this is a used item and so there will be some signs of wear, scuffs and scratches. Due to previous idiots not reading the description properly this item is COLLECTION ONLY. 19th century harness cleaning hook.this type will extend,this are very rare items to come on the open market,originally the bottom would have been covered in leather,i have never bother to have this hook restored,i have used it numerous times for diffract jobs from hanging flower baskets to using it for its real propose of cleaning harness !  i have got the picture out of the original equine album so you have a better idea of its size
