I have no evidence of this but it would be easy to imagine this clock hanging on the wall of a bank and it is of superb quality. The 12 inch dial and the case are in very good condition as is the movement and it comes complete with the winding key and a key the opens both side doors the bottom door and the brass bezel door. This listing is for a beautiful rosewood veneered fusee wall hanging clock. This stunning clock has mother of pearl detailing inlaid around the dial, with some of the mother of pearl having a lovely floral design. The dial is a cream colour with black hand painted Roman numerals. Below the dial is a glass window which has hand carved grapes and leaf detailing. The clock comes with its original beautifully shaped hour and minute hands and a a circular cut key winding hole.
