Exceptionally beautiful solid sandstone sculpture depicting Maria and child. The sculpture has a weathered look that gives an attractive and sought-after look. The work is pretty old. Considering the signs of age probably 18th/19th century. Possibly older. The condition is good, considering the circumstances. There is a piece of Jesus missing, but again, sculptures of this age do not have to be perfect. From France. Has probably stood in a church or chapel outside. Beautiful and large oak carved Madonna sculpture. It comes from Flanders and is made in a somewhat naive style. The sculpture has a dark brown patina and it is pretty old. We believe it comes from the first half of the 19th century, possibly the 2nd half of the 18th century. The condition is fairly good with various traces of age (see photos).
