With a heavy heart I'm selling my mare, Rue. She's a really lovely girl. Really good to do anything with. Selling as a happy hacker as she was sold to me as having a "big knee" this does not affect her in anyway and is sound. I trot her around the roads and she's always been sound. She's good in traffic and my young son has ridden her on the roads. Rue really looked after him. She would suit anyone who just wants a horse to enjoy the world with. She is a forward going mare, but never done anything bad to anyone since I've had her. Rue is a 19 year old but you would never think it! reluctant sale due to no suitable facilities to work with her,chunky heavyweight 15hh mare,17 years old,healthy no health issues.happy hacker,lovely to ride.enjoys hacking.great in all traffic,good to load,shoe.,doesnt kick/bite/buck/rear **she can be awkward to catch (20 minutes or so sometimes with help of mints!) though i suspect this may be with just me!! has had a shady past before i bought her,and has been rough handled at some point resulting in trust issues on ground.after a incident with a rug slipping and becoming tangled in her legs i can no longer get a rug near her,or do simple things such as sponge fly spray on her face without her pulling back and galloping off.however my husband can walk straight up to her and catch her no trouble.so i think she connects me to the rug thing..prior to this she had been rugged/handled on the ground by myself fine.i have no facilities at home,no stables/shelters,not even a safe tying up area so finding it difficult to overcome this as when i attempt to she will pull back and gallop off.she needs a experienced handler/rider.tack included. !!! Chunky All Rounder/Happy hacker 15hh !!!

15hh (approx) 10yr old Bay Blagdon Mare. This lovely big, sweet natured mare has brilliant flashy, floaty paces... Perfect for the show ring. She is currently being ridden out on hacks on our busy roads and is not fazed by anything from road signs to lorries. She has a lovely forward walk and trot but is by no means a strong girl despite her size. She does canter, sometimes needing a kick when in the menage but can be forward when asked. She would benefit carrying on with schooling too. She is snaffle mouthed at all times. She has just been introduced to some jumping, it is all new to her but she is so genuine, she always has a go. Has also done a course of small jumps and took it all in her stride. I have found that she prefers to be with company on the stable yard although she will come in and tie up by herself, she just gets vocal and sometimes a little fidgety but getting more confident and quiet every day. She is not a fan of having her feet picked out, not at all nasty just really heavy footed. This genuine, honest mare has never bitten or kicked, is brilliant to tack up, groom, catch and can live in or out as a good hardy do-er type. Ideally looking for a competent, knowledgeable home. Maggie has been part of our family for 5 years, in which time she has given me so much confidence. Sadly for sale due to lack of time due to other horses. Simon is for sale to a 10* home! He's 12 yo and 16.2. He is an ex racer but been out of racing 5 years and you would never believe he's actually raced as he's that quiet. He's like a cob in a tb's body haha. He's for sale as a light hacking horse due to he got a injury on his back leg which ended his racing career which mean there always fluid in his back hock. He's better living out as when he's stables he gets stiff on it (walks it off after a few steps tho!) I currently stable him at night though. To ride he needs a lot of leg to keep him going, not your typical tb. He's not spooky when hacking and just likes daundering along on the end of the buckle. Very sad sale of a much loved family pony due to no regular jockey. 14.2hh very quiet weight carrying cob, 13 years old, barefoot, unrugged all year as she grows the thickest coat during winter, lives in or out, she is out at the moment as we have no spare stable. This mare has lovely manners and will suit confident novice or mother daughter share, she takes her confidence from you and is always willing to please and a very quick learner. I have had intelligent horsemanship lessons with her from which we both benefited.
