With a heavy heart I'm selling my mare, Rue. She's a really lovely girl. Really good to do anything with. Selling as a happy hacker as she was sold to me as having a "big knee" this does not affect her in anyway and is sound. I trot her around the roads and she's always been sound. She's good in traffic and my young son has ridden her on the roads. Rue really looked after him. She would suit anyone who just wants a horse to enjoy the world with. She is a forward going mare, but never done anything bad to anyone since I've had her. Rue is a 19 year old but you would never think it! reluctant sale due to no suitable facilities to work with her,chunky heavyweight 15hh mare,17 years old,healthy no health issues.happy hacker,lovely to ride.enjoys hacking.great in all traffic,good to load,shoe.,doesnt kick/bite/buck/rear **she can be awkward to catch (20 minutes or so sometimes with help of mints!) though i suspect this may be with just me!! has had a shady past before i bought her,and has been rough handled at some point resulting in trust issues on ground.after a incident with a rug slipping and becoming tangled in her legs i can no longer get a rug near her,or do simple things such as sponge fly spray on her face without her pulling back and galloping off.however my husband can walk straight up to her and catch her no trouble.so i think she connects me to the rug thing..prior to this she had been rugged/handled on the ground by myself fine.i have no facilities at home,no stables/shelters,not even a safe tying up area so finding it difficult to overcome this as when i attempt to she will pull back and gallop off.she needs a experienced handler/rider.tack included. !!! Chunky All Rounder/Happy hacker 15hh !!!

15hh (approx) 10yr old Bay Blagdon Mare. This lovely big, sweet natured mare has brilliant flashy, floaty paces... Perfect for the show ring. She is currently being ridden out on hacks on our busy roads and is not fazed by anything from road signs to lorries. She has a lovely forward walk and trot but is by no means a strong girl despite her size. She does canter, sometimes needing a kick when in the menage but can be forward when asked. She would benefit carrying on with schooling too. She is snaffle mouthed at all times. She has just been introduced to some jumping, it is all new to her but she is so genuine, she always has a go. Has also done a course of small jumps and took it all in her stride. I have found that she prefers to be with company on the stable yard although she will come in and tie up by herself, she just gets vocal and sometimes a little fidgety but getting more confident and quiet every day. She is not a fan of having her feet picked out, not at all nasty just really heavy footed. This genuine, honest mare has never bitten or kicked, is brilliant to tack up, groom, catch and can live in or out as a good hardy do-er type. Ideally looking for a competent, knowledgeable home. Scooter 8 year old 14.2 bay gelding Scooter was purchased in the summer for the riding school and has sadly proven that he is not totally suited as a riding school pony. He is great in traffic and hacks alone or in company, happy to go first or last. Unphased by the heaviest of traffic, led a young horse passed a live brass band at the village fete and didn't bat an eyelid! Snaffle mouthed. Sadly he is just not suited to work in the riding school, he is a very capable chap with great paces and a scopey jump but he is not straight forward enough for the novice children and unfortunately I cannot afford to keep him just as a hacking pony. Elsie is a 17 year old 14hh coloured mare. We bought her because her previous owner was too ill to take care of her and it felt like the right thing to do. She has been ride and drive in the past but has had several years off and had a couple of foals. We are currently bringing her back into work, sorted her teeth, feet etc out and had her fully checked by a vet. She now does some lovely basic groundwork and is a willing learner. She is easy to trim, good for the dentist, polite to handle, she lunges, loads and travels easily and loves to be brushed. She is a bit green in the school which is reflected in the price, happy hacking out so we think this is pretty much what she has done in the past. Little miss April April is a 13.3h 9yo compact leg at each corner cob mare. She currently a ‘happy hack’ ridden by a 5ft6 adult and is 100% in all traffic, farm machinery on the yard, bikes, children with footballs, loose dogs etc. She has been mainly ridden alone but doesn't hot up in company or in open fields, she is much more woah than go! Happy hacker/light school gelding for sale Trotter x 13.3 hands Tri-coloured 12 year old Jonty is a lovely boy with a cheeky personality. Jonty can mainly be used as a happy hacker due to previous lameness issues; has had the all clear from the vets and can have vets name and number on request. He is by no means a novice/ first pony, he would suit a confident light teenager/ second pony as he can be quick and sharp. He is great to hack out with company, has hacked over motorway bridges and cantered threw fields never strong or silly. Shae has been with us for the past 18 months, but sadly he has been prematurely outgrown and my daughter has moved onto horses. He has been a mother daughter share pony, is snaffle mouth at all times and is a laid back kick along pony who would suit someone who prefers hacking out beach rides and general fun rides. In the school he is happy to plod around with a novice rider but as he can be a little lazy he needs a rider with alot of leg to get the best out of him.
