Wonderful 15 year old mare for sale, would consider LWVTB but only local. This beautiful mare is looking for a her forever home, she is such a genuine mare and wouldn't hurt a fly. I have had her for a year now but my circumstances have changed and can no longer afford to own my own horse anymore. She is an ex show jumper and has been there and done it all. And is now wanting a happier quieter life. Not ready for retirement at all. Is as good as gold to turn out and bring in, (a dope on a rope). She can be a little spooky when hacking but won't ever be nasty. She can go into the school and work beautifully but defiantly loves a good run in the field and hacking. This is not a simple straightforward mare, I am looking for a the next honest home for her, She has had a rectum scan recently and has a hole in her rectum, this does not cause any problems for her at all. She is able to be ridden and worked perfectly. However This mare can not be used as a broodmare as this will complicate matters. I have been advised by the vet to keep her either on grass 24/7, and or on sugar beet alongside with Epsom salts. This is to help keep her droppings soft so that the hole in her rectum does not cause colic. Since I have tried this out I have had no problems at all.:) She does have a old wire injry on her left hind and a splint on her right hind. Again never ever caused any problems for me ever. She is perfect with her shoes and has very good solid feet. The farrier comes every 6 weeks for her. She is due her nextast vaccination (as had to start them again) on the 26th October. She is perfect for the vet, dentist and farrier. Does not blink an eye. Please this is a very sad sale and don't want any time wasters. She is excellent in all riding aspects she is 110%in all traffic has been hacked for miles on busy and country roads in company and alone done farm rides, excels XC proving brave and level headed. Available for sale: Vale's Blue Bridge - 14.1hh rising 6 Connemara mare - Green under saddle, super jumping potential - Quiet temperament on ground Blue is by the fantastic jumping stallion Bobby Sparrow Blue (recorded) who is a grade A show jumper renown for multiple wins at Clifden jumping 1.55 and 1.35 side saddle. She has a very active movement and incredible scope over a fence. Under saddle she has been working on the flat and over fences. Bold over fences, the higher the better! She has been xc schooling for experience and again performed better over bigger fences. She is still green under saddle and can be a little nervous for the first 10 minutes. Luna is very laid back and calm and loves people. She is willing to please and will give anything a go, she has a great attitude to work. She is very safe and easy to handle, has very good stable manners and loves attention. Very patient so will stand for hours to be fussed and groomed. Excellent to bath, clip, load, farrier, and has no vices. She can be more on the lazy side when being ridden so is more suited to the rider that prefers a ride that needs firm encouragement rather than something that needs holding back. She is set to make a fabulous all-rounder although she is still learning with aspects of jumping but has shown great scope and willingness to try. She is great to hack due to being so calm traffic and ‘scary’ things don’t bother her. She is currently on working livery at Northop College equine centre, where she is used by students of ranging abilities and she has become a firm favourite due to her lovely personality and sweet, honest nature. She was also used for the recent riding and road safety British horse society exam at the college because she can be relied upon to behave in traffic.
