12'2 bay mare 7yo show pony / child's fun pony in Romsey

Stunning 7 year old bay mare. Welsh C X New Forest. Super little pony who will excel in any sphere. She has had a very successful showing season this year, rides a beautiful dressage test and is a very keen jumper. She will stand happily all day at a show eating her hay. This pony is forward going and needs a confident little rider but is so much fun. She has hunted with previous owner but not with us. Great to hack out, not phased by busy traffic. She will stand quietly to be clipped, bathed, fussed over. She is great with farrier and loads in a lorry or trailer. She is up to date with jabs. She can be a bit cheeky on the ground but nothing nasty, just being a Welsh pony! Turns out with mares or geldings. She is currently stabled at night as she is clipped but would happily live out too. She is barefoot and never had shoes on as her feet are great. Reduced! Smartie Pony club mare 12 years old, native type Passported as 12.2hh but seems waaay bigger! Will measure in the coming days. Miss Smartie Pants is an absolute super star! Very forward going girl but with amazing brakes! Touch button ride - moves off the leg, neck reins, stops on voice cue. Turns on a dime and jumps anything put in front of her. Ridden bitless (in a side pull - the most gentle kind of bitless bridle) but snaffle mouthed in the past. I'm just riding her bitless as her brakes are immaculate so don't feel she needs a bit presently. Would not class her as a novice ride, as her ease of moving off the leg and being pretty much an "automatic" pony could make her come across as "sharp" to a beginner. Highland Pony Mare

For Sale. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this advert. Brook (Erray Burdock) is 5 years old, 14hh and I have owned her for 2 years. I bought her as an unhandled 3 year old direct from Erray Highland Ponies. Brook has been very much my baby, being the first pony I have brought on from scratch and her wonderful temperament has made it a very easy process. Brook is a very easy, straight forward pony, she turns out with mares or geldings and doesn’t mind being left on her own, she will happily be stabled if needs be and is not at all mareish. She is a lovely, gentle girl who is easy to catch, good with the farrier and vet, to bath, load and travel but she has never been clipped. Brook was backed in spring and spent the year hacking out from home, mainly on her own. She has also been out to several clinics and lessons and been in group lessons indoors & out. She has also trailered out to meet others for hacks and recently qualified for Blair Novice Ridden. She is very easy to take to shows and has had lovely positive comments from judges. Brook is good with lighter traffic when on her own but needs the reassurance of another horse with her to cope with heavy traffic. She is used to quads and tractors but to hack any distance I have to go on busy roads which is the only reason I am parting with her as I don’t have anyone to ride with & I have an older pony who is great in any traffic. In company she has been through villages and also over a level crossing when the barriers came down and she didn’t bat an eyelid. She is a responsive ride but not strong or overly forward going, she has never bucked, reared or done anything under saddle to worry me at all and I am not the most confident. Brook has never been sick or sorry and has no sign of sweet itch. Due to her age she is still green in the school but is a lovely, quiet and genuine pony. She has lovely, free movement and is straight and correct. Brook is extremely special to me and will only go to the right home, this is an extremely hard decision, genuine easy ponies like her do not come along often.
