Beautiful, adorable pony, 6 year old,13.1hh Dun Dartmoor, very good to catch, box, trim etc. Currently being ridden by my 9 yr old daughter, been jumping 2'6" but due to work commitments she's not being ridden as much as we'd like. Never hurt anyone but she can be stubborn and very strong to ride so not suitable for a child's first pony or anyone with little confidence. She will do occasional small rears with anyone that's not confident on her but stops once she realises it doesn't get her anywhere... Typical mare, just needs bringing on with the right rider.

12'2 black Dartmoor pony gelding. Freddie a lovely little pony, he is always first over in the field to greet you he loves a fuss and carrots! He currently lives out with mares and geldings but could also live in. He is very easy to do (load, trim, brush, pick feet out etc), not rugged and is barefoot, laid back manner. Never kicked, bucked or bitten (but can become nippy when given too many treats!) I have sat on Freddie numerous times, in the yard, field and around the lanes but am far to big to expect him to do anything, friends have ridden him around the lanes and he was very good however has a tendency to pick from the hedge! Freddie has been ridden by small children and adults although they have now lost interest and he is left without a rider. He goes on regular walks around the lanes, meeting cars, bikes, tractors etc but nothing seems to faze him. I feel Freddie would make a great childs/small adults pony for someone. Please take note that he will need extra work off the lead rein to stop the hedge snacking. I am looking for around £450 open to offers as home more important than price. If anyone is looking for a perfect family pony I have to sell lady she is the only horse I swear is 100% traffic proof she has been ridden through a steam fair had fighter jets fly over was broken in on the side of the a30... she stands at 14.3 at last time she was measured she is ridden in a loose ring snaffle at all times even hunting and on the moor she has been ridden by complete novices and experience will adapt to the rider. Willow is a real poppet, 12.2hh 5 years old, she has a fantastic nature and is very laid back and uncomplicated. Still green as only recently broken to ride, but is coming on really well, riding nicely on the flat, in an outline in walk trot and canter, offering a comfortable ride and is a snaffle mouth with good breaks. I have come to a very sad and difficult decision to put my daughters pony up for sale due to total loss of interest. Marli is a 5yr old hh dhp, who is a very genuine little mare with a heart of gold, broken to ride on the lead rein so would need to be brought on further in her education. I would like her to go to a 5*home with hopefully a loving little jockey who will give her the attention she deserves and who will bring out her full potential. He came to us only 2 months ago and we're extremely sad to be writing this advert but unfortunately we don't make the team we had hoped for. He could be an incredible pony given the right opportunities. Now for the honesty! He dislikes being alone and had come from a busy yard, ours is a small family farm and we don't have enough company for him. Buddy is a 6 year old gelding. Used as a field companion at the moment. Breaking was started but due to personal circumstances and illness Buddy was turned out. He is a fabulous loving pony but he does have trust issues with humans especially men that swear or shout. Buddy was a rescue pony and had previously been beaten. I have done various bomb proofing techniques with him and hes not fazed by things or vehicles just people. He needs to re start his training from scratch and have continuous regular work. Then i believe that he will be a wonderful pony. He has amazing paces in trot and canter. My intention was to break to harness eventually as he is stunning to look at and is incredibly strong and i think this is the best direction for him as hes not too keen on children when tacked up. There are lots of kids here but sometimes he finds them scary. He is a nervous pony there is no malice in him at all. I have kids running in the fields playing and hes not fazed by that as he is free its when hes tied up or tacked up that he becomes nervous. I am in no rush to sell as he is quite happy being hairy and fat in the field at the moment. Never had lami. We have had this summer a loose dog incident where Buddy was attacked and injured so he was lame for a week or so but he has recovered fully and now is ok with dogs again but that's it. He is never sick. He hoovers his feed so everything given must be soaked or he will choke. He is fine with hay. Can live in or out. He is very happy to live in as he gets lots of attention and he laps it up. He is wormed regularly and treated for mites and other crawly critters as the turn out is on wet ground we get lots of midges. He does NOT have sweet itch but in the summer this year the horse fly's caused us problems and he did rub his tail on one occasion. Nothing serious though. I had hoped to show him this year but personal illness would not allow it. He is beautiful in the summer and i have had lots of interest in him but until now i have not been prepared to sell. Only reason i am selling is because i believe this pony could have a wonderful showing or driving career ahead of him and i cannot give him the time or afford to employ someone to train him to do this. I now believe that this pony deserves better than i can give. He is loved and cherished and any potential buyer will need to sign a legally binding contract of sale. Potential buyers will be vetted thoroughly as will new homes. This pony will not go to anyone who lacks true experience.
