16hh Welsh x Arab 6 year old mare

I’m reluctantly advertising my beautiful mare. She’s an approximately 16hh 6 year old Welsh cob x Arab chestnut mare with 4 white socks. Luna is the sweetest mare and is very easy to handle in and out of the stable. She takes her reassurance from her handler. She is nervous when taking rugs off so I have found by folding them forwards and reassuring her whilst you do this she’s fine. She’s getting better every time you do it. I have not clipped her yet, she is again fairly nervous but I have run the clippers over her whilst they were running and again she just needs reassurance. Luna will happily load into a trailer but she does get worried and can rush off although she does nothing nasty. When she came to me she travelled in a 3.5ton lorry and was fine. With time I’m sure she’d happily travel in a trailer. To ride she is a blank canvas. She’s green with her schooling and jumping. She will go in a lovely outline but needs someone that understands a sensitive and young horse. She is green with jumping but certainly has some scope and really enjoys it. I have taught her how to lunge and she will now happily lunge. She hacks out in company, she will have a look at things occasionally but with encouragement will happily walk on. She has started hacking on her own. I have walked her out alone in-hand and she has been fantastic. I am selling her as I feel she needs more than what I can give her. She will only be sold to the perfect home and an experienced rider. With time and understanding she will be an amazing all rounder. Ronalde Peaches and Cream. It’s with a heavy heart I have for sale my 4 year old, 32% Arab x Welsh D. (May ) Peaches is registered to both the Arab and Palamino society. I have known Peaches since a foal and owned her for two years, unfortunately standing at hh she just never made height for me. Peaches has been lightly backed, seen enough of the world and now she has been turned away to mature, she will be sold from field ready for someone to put their stamp on. As a 2 year old, Peach did lots of inhand local showing for her experience, she won every class! She will load into anything and loves being out and about. Peaches life as a 3 year old was spent lead from my older ‘nanny’ horse with regular varied speed/scenery hacks. She has seen everything, she has a lot of confidence and in her brief riding career, as a 4 year old, has lead short hacks and hacked alone. Peaches has done very very little school work as in our previous yard as we didn’t have the facilities! What she has done however has been impeccable and willing every time, she learnt swiftly with clear instruction. This mare has had a walk, trot & canter in an open field with a young child on board and a little play with small logs. She has shown honestly from day one. Peaches is barefoot and I can’t see why she can’t stay that way, she has fantastic feet. She’s a hardy mare and happily lives out all year around. She isn’t used to being stabled but she will come around to it with patience, she has no stable vices but will shout for companions if she is alone. It breaks my heart writing this, you will never find a mare with more character she is safe and sane, but cheeky and sparky. She has the perfect balance to make a bold fearless, but safe competition pony. Her Arab shines through within her. Peaches adores love and fuss, she has a massive feeling of self importance and if you appreciate the princess she is she will give you her heart and more! Peaches has been in a field for 8 weeks, as much as I’m capable and would love to further her education I just feel too big on board and I feel id be giving her the best chance of a competent forever home if the buyer could mould her to their style and needs.
