WW2 British Army Ridge Tent

This is a WW2 British Army ridge tent . It measures: 9ft long to the point at the back, 6ft wide, 6ft high, and the wall is 2ft 6inches. There is stencilled writing on both sides: BAHRAT (India) TW, , CX/P, B arrow on one side, IDEAL TRADING, BOMBAY H6 P, BD ARROW 16 on the other. The canvas is in good condition other than two small holes where a mouse got at it before I got to the mouse. The poles are original one of which has a slight curve and a couple of the locking metal cleats are missing. There are a selection of pegs some of which are wooden and could be original. Some of the guy ropes have no adjusters and some could do with extra stitching to the canvas. One of the pole locating holes on the ridge has been repaired. WW2 US Army Tent

A genuine WW2 US Army Tent. This tent comes complete with the original poles and some original tent pegs. It also has a groundsheet with it. It is in extremely good condition considering it's age, it has had one small repair as can be seen in the photos. I was unable to erect the tent so hopefully the pictures will give a good idea as to it's quality. It would sleep 2 people. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. British Army paratroops type military camouflage jacket. According to the white label inside it's a Size 7 Smocks Denison (Airborne Troops), about which I know next-to-nothing! Big and baggy, in very good condition. Brass half zip, brass poppers which say 'Newey' on them. Four front pockets, press stud flap at the back which fastens at the front, elasticated khaki cuffs, metal vent holes under the arms. Camo cloth it's made from looks hand-dyed to me and of an older canvas type, rather than modern close-weave cotton, but I'm no expert. Collar is lined in a rougher khaki material. Has a hole in the inside collar where the stitching's come undone, has a wear hole in one cuff and some fraying to the cuff edges. Other than that I see no wear or damage. Good for the militaria collector, for re-enactment or general outdoor wear, hunting, shooting, fishing, etc. Probably not very good for jumping out of planes! Not something I will ever use, but quite sought after as I understand it, so better to go to someone who will, I think.
