This very nice Writing Slope in Burr Walnut with Brass Fittings is in generally good condition for it's age. It has a secret compartment as shown in the photos. A quite small amount of work would make this Slope a very desirable item. There is a very small piece of brass strip missing left of the centre brass square on top of the lid, and some minor cracks in the case as shown in the photos, also the key is missing. The slope is approx.20ins w x10ins d x 7ins high closed. Open it is 5ins to 2 ins high and 20x20 ins. The writing surface is finished with dark red plush. It has two glass ink pots and a pen tray but it needs some attention internally. The tabs to lift the slopes to reveal storage have gone. Externally in good condition but there is no key to the lock.
