SCHOTS VICTORIAN STYLE MARBLE FIREPLACE SURROUND WITH CAST IRON FIREPLACE needs restoring

THIS IS A RESTORATION PROJECT I have a Schots Victorian style marble mantlepiece with a beautiful cast iron fireplace. There is also a large grey slate floor flag for the fireplace to stand on. This versatile cast iron fireplace insert, in premium black, is replica of an authentic period piece and features finely detailed casting, can be used for selected gas fires or traditional wood burning. Bad news - the marble fireplace is broken in parts but can be mended. I think all the pieces are there but I keep finding new bits of it every day. Bad news - the Victorian fireplace has got some superficial rust on it so needs a good scrub and a tin of black plaint and will be as good as before. You can buy whatever products you need to restore it from Schots website. The marble surround features a traditional design from the period, with attractive decorative corbels supporting a bevelled mantelpiece shelf. I have included a picture of what the mantlepiece and fireplace would have looked like originally and could look like again with a bit of tlc. This elegant and period fireplace is in overall excellent condition. However 2 tiles are cracked (see close up picture) although it is hardly noticeable because of the nature of the design. Victorian Style Fireplace. Lovely Condition with Brass Surround

I believe this to be a genuine Victorian style fireplace. When we bought this property this was the fireplace installed. We are now doing up this room and feel that this fireplace is the wrong type for the large room. Hence this sale. Brass surround included in the sale as it complements the tiled hearth beautifully. The hearth will be of no use as it is black tiles on cement, so impossible to take out in one piece. The tiles on the fireplace have small hairline cracks which are typical for this type of fireplace. This suggests that it is very old. The fireplace has been refurbished and is in mint condition. The different colouring on the tiles is due to the light coming in from the right hand window. Hence, the brightness on the left hand tiles. There is no grate but this item can be easily enough found at various suppliers. We have never had a fire on in this fireplace. Mantelpiece: = 47.5ins x 7ins. Reproduction Victorian Style Floral Tiled Fireplace and Pine Surround

For sale a reproduction Victorian Floral Tiled Fireplace and pine surround. It is a Carron Fireplace Insert No x 38 x 16 which we think is cast iron but we are not sure. Down each side there is a 5 tile set of 'RT080 Stovax Plant and Urn' decorated tile set () Also included is the pine fire surround, however there is no hearth. This fireplace has just been removed from a house and as you can see from the photographs it is in good condition, however the mantelpiece and wood surround do have a few marks on them as shown in the photographs and would probably benefit from sanding and re-staining. It has also been used to burn coal and wood and therefore bears the marks of that in the fireplace insert as you would expect.
