Great condition used fireplace and wood surround/mantelpiece. Was never used as far as I know so great condition inside. Have tried to be as careful as possible to remove from wall but paint will need a little touch up on side of mantelpiece. Collection from BS3 only. Mantelpiece measures approximately 139cm x 116cm. SCHOTS VICTORIAN STYLE MARBLE FIREPLACE SURROUND WITH CAST IRON FIREPLACE needs restoring

THIS IS A RESTORATION PROJECT I have a Schots Victorian style marble mantlepiece with a beautiful cast iron fireplace. There is also a large grey slate floor flag for the fireplace to stand on. This versatile cast iron fireplace insert, in premium black, is replica of an authentic period piece and features finely detailed casting, can be used for selected gas fires or traditional wood burning. Bad news - the marble fireplace is broken in parts but can be mended. I think all the pieces are there but I keep finding new bits of it every day. Bad news - the Victorian fireplace has got some superficial rust on it so needs a good scrub and a tin of black plaint and will be as good as before. You can buy whatever products you need to restore it from Schots website. The marble surround features a traditional design from the period, with attractive decorative corbels supporting a bevelled mantelpiece shelf. I have included a picture of what the mantlepiece and fireplace would have looked like originally and could look like again with a bit of tlc.
