Victorian Mantle Clock

Late Victorian pendulum mantle clock with key. The case is made of slate with marble inlay and cast brass decorative finials & feet. The dial is also intricate & the clock reflects a lion theme with lions heads incorporated into the dial decoration & top decorative finial. The brass feet are lion claw feet. All original with quality french movement & bell strike on the half hour & hour. On the dial it says Placot Boulon below the number 12 & A. Cambrai above the number 6. Size W16 inches x H14 inches x D6 inches approx. More info. and pictures of movement can be supplied on request as it it heavy & needs to be lifted down for those to be taken. Excellent time keeper. Circa Very nice Mahogany single fusee movement drop-dial Wall Clock in good working order but has a couple of minor issues The clock was made by G.V. Ganney of Tonbridge Wells. Has a twelve inch glass door with catch at the back, brass Bezel (hinge needs a little attention) has an enemal dial with Roman painted numerals, The movement is chain driven and there is an scroll decoration either side of the box with brass cast moulding infront of the Box viewing panel The Face is set in a mahogany circular frame and is in still good reliable working order and has the key!
