Late Victorian pendulum mantle clock with key. The case is made of slate with marble inlay and cast brass decorative finials & feet. The dial is also intricate & the clock reflects a lion theme with lions heads incorporated into the dial decoration & top decorative finial. The brass feet are lion claw feet. All original with quality french movement & bell strike on the half hour & hour. On the dial it says Placot Boulon below the number 12 & A. Cambrai above the number 6. Size W16 inches x H14 inches x D6 inches approx. More info. and pictures of movement can be supplied on request as it it heavy & needs to be lifted down for those to be taken. Excellent time keeper. VICTORIAN OAK CASED CHIMING MANTLE CLOCK

This is a Victorian wooden cased chimes mantel clock - i am not an expert but the wood appears to be oak, and it has a glass panelled door. It has large dimensions of 13" in height x 10.5" in width x 7" deep - it weighs approx 6.5kg unpacked. Unfortunately i have lost the key to this clock, but the last time it was in use it was in working order - however as i cannot guarantee that this is still the case, then it is being sold as spares or repairs. The wooden clock casing is generally in good order, with only minor wear and tear to the extremities (corners, edges, surfaces), but there is no damage to the wood. I have for sale an elegant Victorian black slate and red mottled marble mantle clock, having bell chime movement. The Clock strikes on a little bell once on each half hour and on the hour it chimes according to the time. On the French movement are markings GR inside an oval shape and impressed stamp marked with AD Mougin And five-pointed star. I have added pictures of the movement with and without the steel bell attached. Clock has been recently serviced and is keeping good time. The dial is clear and has decorative hands. There is opening front glazed bezel allowing access to winding holes. At the back there is also an opening door to gain access to pendulum and bell chime movement. Clock will be supplied with a winding key and will run for more than a week on a full wind. Approximate Dimensions - 29cms tall x 24 cms wide x 14 cms depth. A beautiful and large antique mantle or sideboard clock. Measures approximately 19 inches tall. In Belgian Slate with decorative brass appliques.
