Ivy, a peculiar and gorgeous Tortoiseshell cat is looking for a new home

Ivy is a very peculiar, gorgeous tortoiseshell cat, has been with us since she was a kitten. Now she is four years old. Her brother James went missing about a year ago, and we are still not sure whether she had a hand in it. Ivy is a very romantic cat. She loves classical music (especially piano) and candlelight. It can be proven that she is an excellent mouse catcher too. Ivy is just lovely, she deserves every attention. She is very patient with small children. Her favourite place is always close to the person she loves the best, preferable in the lap. She also has a talent at discovering special places in the house. Ivy is in excellent health, chipped, neutralised and vaccinated, no flees. She suffered a dog attack two years ago and was treated in Royal Veterinary College Potters Bar and made a full recovery. She was kept as in/outdoor cat with access to a large garden. We put extra care researching the best cat food for her. She is given Applaws dry chicken and Bozita wet food (reindeer, duck, chicken and sometimes fish). We consider ourselves very lucky to have been allowed to live with Ivy, but unfortunately she cannot be taken to our new home. We are looking for someone or a family to take care of Ivy, ideally in Hampstead or within a short distance so we could sometimes visit her with our two year old daughter who will miss her. Beautiful Tortoiseshell Cat

Lovely cat which is seeking rehoming. She's a very fine cat, we think tortoiseshell with some other good breeding in her lineage. We can't be sure - WYSIWYG. Shirley came into our lives in December , when we adopted her from a local cat shelter. Her previous owner had moved away and not been able to take her with him. As soon as we saw her, we fell in love! Unfortunately, we're finding that she's needing a quieter environment than we can provide. She's a little timid at first, it takes her a while to settle, but once she comes out of her shell, she's very attentive and loves human contact. She currently lives in a home in the countryside and has shown interest in going outside but hasn't yet made the transition in to doing so. She has a very non-plussed attitude towards our other, older female, cat and whilst it's safe to say that they're not best friends, they live in harmonious blissful ignorance of each other, though we will sometimes find her on our bed right next to the other cat. We don't know how she'd react to being a pet in a child's life. As mentioned, she is a little skittish at first, we just left her alone to get on with it and were very receptive when she started to come out. To that end, she may be OK - she just needs time to find her feet. As her background is unknown, we're not sure of an exact age, but our experience would suggest she's between 3-5 years old. She's not a fussy eater and will easily transition on to any food that you choose to feed her. We currently feed both our cats Hills Science Plan. She's not particularly interested in sleeping in a cat bed, or playing with toys in general, but she does love a little bit of catnip to roll around and have fun with from time to time, and is incredibly affectionate once she gets to know you. She's able to go for free to a good home, but (and there's no obligation to) if you were looking to cover the costs, we paid £35 to the lovely people at the sanctuary who were looking after her. You'll need your own litter tray (she's not fussy) and food, though we can give you a few days worth of what she's currently on to blend/transition. If you're interested, please drop us an initial email or phone call - though she's ready to go 'now', ideally she can go same-day but for the right new owners, we don't mind holding on to her for however long you need.
