Beautiful Tortoiseshell Cat

Lovely cat which is seeking rehoming. She's a very fine cat, we think tortoiseshell with some other good breeding in her lineage. We can't be sure - WYSIWYG. Shirley came into our lives in December , when we adopted her from a local cat shelter. Her previous owner had moved away and not been able to take her with him. As soon as we saw her, we fell in love! Unfortunately, we're finding that she's needing a quieter environment than we can provide. She's a little timid at first, it takes her a while to settle, but once she comes out of her shell, she's very attentive and loves human contact. She currently lives in a home in the countryside and has shown interest in going outside but hasn't yet made the transition in to doing so. She has a very non-plussed attitude towards our other, older female, cat and whilst it's safe to say that they're not best friends, they live in harmonious blissful ignorance of each other, though we will sometimes find her on our bed right next to the other cat. We don't know how she'd react to being a pet in a child's life. As mentioned, she is a little skittish at first, we just left her alone to get on with it and were very receptive when she started to come out. To that end, she may be OK - she just needs time to find her feet. As her background is unknown, we're not sure of an exact age, but our experience would suggest she's between 3-5 years old. She's not a fussy eater and will easily transition on to any food that you choose to feed her. We currently feed both our cats Hills Science Plan. She's not particularly interested in sleeping in a cat bed, or playing with toys in general, but she does love a little bit of catnip to roll around and have fun with from time to time, and is incredibly affectionate once she gets to know you. She's able to go for free to a good home, but (and there's no obligation to) if you were looking to cover the costs, we paid £35 to the lovely people at the sanctuary who were looking after her. You'll need your own litter tray (she's not fussy) and food, though we can give you a few days worth of what she's currently on to blend/transition. If you're interested, please drop us an initial email or phone call - though she's ready to go 'now', ideally she can go same-day but for the right new owners, we don't mind holding on to her for however long you need. Beautiful female tortoiseshell cat

I am having to sell my tortoiseshell cat as unfortunately she doesn't get on with my other animals. We have only had her a week (rescued her) and although she's very affectionate and loving with us and our daughters she just really doesn't get along with our other pets and so she's been shut in my daughters room which just isn't fair on her. She has already been spayed and since being in our care we have bathed her (which she doesn't seem to mind although I wouldn't recommend doing it unless necessary), dewormed her, and have put her on a lovely glittery flea collar. She is very laid back and hasn't been tearing around the house like we would expect from a young cat and enjoys her fussies so we believe she'd make a lovely pet in a home with no other pets. Beautiful tortoiseshell cat in Alnwick

Poppet is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat who is about 2 years old. She is affectionate and litter trained. We recently rehomed her from someone who was moving house and unable to take her with them.
