I am very regretfully selling my two tortoises: Speedy (7) and Shelly (5). They are of the eastern hermanns species. These two tortoises mean the world to me and have seriously become part of the family. Both have distinct personalities, making them more than just a couple of tortoises. Speedy and Shelly have lived in an adapted rabbit cage - same as a tortoise table. They are therefore used to the open-top enclosures. Top soil and coconut fibre have been the primary substrates. The enclosure will not be up for sale because it is getting too small for them and they both enjoy the supervised space of a garden in the suitable weather conditions. I will, however, give the heat lamp and UVA controller away. Speedy and Shelly are both female, which obviously explains why they have been kept together for all these years with no problems. Speedy does get a little bit greedy, being larger, and so would need more food and a potential visual block from the other feeding dish. As I am planning on moving away for university, I will not be able to take them with me. I believe it is in their best interest to go with someone that has the same commitment, love and enthusiasm for them as I have. As stressed previously, I will not give up these pair to just anyone.
