This is a hand-knotted Tabriz carpet, made of durable, natural materials. Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this carpet unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character. Tabriz is one of the oldest cities in Iran. A Tabriz comes in various designs; these carpets often depict old palaces or ruins. The most common colours are beige, blue and red. They are durable, high-quality carpets, often made of fine wool on a cotton warp (bobbin thread). A good Tabriz has a short and rough pile.
