The table has been expertly renovated using only the best techniques and materials, including several coats (always at least three!) of Annie Sloan chalk paint and two layers of clear wax for protection and sheen, meaning that it both gives a nicely aged appearance today and will also continue to age beautifully. Dimensions (approx.) Height = 73cm x Width = 57cm x Depth = 107cm Width = 152cm (When fully extended) In this example, Old Ochre (creamy, off-white shade) chalk paint has been used on the table. The mahogany top has been sanded back for a nice natural wood finish. The top is solid old English oak. There are a few imperfections throughout - including to the top - but if you're willing to accept these as part of this character piece you're in for a lovely bespoke dining table. We are very happy with the quality and finish of this piece, and believe it will be much-treasured by it's next owner. We also have dining chairs for sale. This stunning jali wood table and 6 chairs has been given the popular shabby chic look by being painted in Annie Sloan's old ochre chalk paint. It has then been distressed and the finish protected with clear wax. The table top and the 6 chair seats have been stripped and sanded back to reveal the unusual and beautiful natural wood grain. This has then been finished with a wax feel hard wearing varnish in a satin finish to give it a soft sheen. With jali wood there are many differing colours to the natural wood making it very different. The table top which is similar to a butchers block has differing widths in the wooden planks and they are very thick and chunky making it extremely heavy!. The ladder back chairs have a metal stud detail and the table legs and top has metal strapping giving it an aged and industrial feel. Although there are only 6 chairs this table will seat 8 comfortably. This set has had a previous life and has picked up the odd knock or dent along the way but this does not detract from the piece it only gives it a more authentic shabby chic look. This set is extremely heavy and this should be taken into consideration when collecting. Table top could do with another sand down now as there are a few marks. Table legs can be removed for easier transportation. Four solid pine chairs, with varnished pine seats and painted white backs and legs. Paint is chipped in places. This was a shabby chic project that I never had time to finish off.
