I have a Sestrel compass for sale. This is part of the inventory of my late uncle's marine chandlery. It is new/old stock and has not been fitted to a vessel. It comes in its original packaging. Sestrel went out of business because they wouldn't compromise on quality and found their products were uneconomic to make. Looking at it, it isn't hard to see why. It is beautifully made. This would look fantastic on a classic yacht. This is probably a unique opportunity. There can't be many of these knocking about in this condition any more, so a pretty unique opportunity

Sestrel Mariners/Marine Compass in wooden Box

A Mariners Compass in a wooden box made by Sestrel Box Measures 20cm x 20cm x 14cm(H) Compass face has a diameter of 13cm In very good condition, however there is a problem with a bubble that appears in the oil during the Winter. This varies in size with the ambient temperature, (I guess as the oil expands and contracts) then disappears during the Summer. It might seem strange but I can assure you it's true! This is a very old compass. It comes complete with fixing bracket and is has a back-light. The size is H.80 mm W 150 mm D 160 mm. The box that it comes with is oak I believe with a plywood bottom. Icom DSC VHF Marine Radio in Godalming

I have an Icom ICM421 for sale. This is 'used' in that is has been fitted to a boat but from what I can gather it has spent all its time sitting in its cradle ashore. I can't imagine it will have seen any action other than to initially check the set. It has not been programmed with a MMSI number. This is quite important because if you buy a DSC radio second hand you would generally have to pay the manufacturer £50 or so to re-programme it with your number if it has already been set with an MMSI number. This radio comes with its original handbook. I did test the receive and transmit functions, which were fine as you would expect but obviously didn't test the DSC functions before I removed it. Icom is a really good quality manufacturer. It does the normal sort of stuff like DSC polling etc. If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask and I will have a look at the handbook. This set should only be operated by a suitably qualified person on a licensed vessel or shore station.
