A Mariners Compass in a wooden box made by Sestrel Box Measures 20cm x 20cm x 14cm(H) Compass face has a diameter of 13cm In very good condition, however there is a problem with a bubble that appears in the oil during the Winter. This varies in size with the ambient temperature, (I guess as the oil expands and contracts) then disappears during the Summer. It might seem strange but I can assure you it's true! I have a Sestrel compass for sale. This is part of the inventory of my late uncle's marine chandlery. It is new/old stock and has not been fitted to a vessel. It comes in its original packaging. Sestrel went out of business because they wouldn't compromise on quality and found their products were uneconomic to make. Looking at it, it isn't hard to see why. It is beautifully made. This would look fantastic on a classic yacht. This is probably a unique opportunity. There can't be many of these knocking about in this condition any more, so a pretty unique opportunity
