LUNA is a beautiful 42ft cruiser Stern narrowboat livaboard. She was built in by a company called Harbough Marine with steel hull. I have lived on LUNA for 3 years and had so many happy times. Whatever the season the canal is beautiful. Imagine looking out your window in spring and seeing the ducklings, signets, baby moorhens, goslings, the trees growing, the flowers and blossom sprouting. Watching the trees shed their leaves in autumn and picking blackberries, watching the snow falling around you in winter whilst being cosy inside with the burner lit and, the best bit, summer, sitting on the towpath taking in the colours and smells, talking to the passers by, waving at the other boats going past, sitting in the evening with friends with a glass of wine or beer and a BBQ. And of course cruising, taking in all the above but whilst moving at a peacefull pace with not a care in the world, stopping at the pub for lunch if you fancy. If you want to be in the middle of nowhere or right in town you can be, don't like your neighbours? Just move! LUNA has a new kitchen, living room, bedroom and nice big bathroom. New log burner, vannette gas hob, vanette gg built in gas oven. She comes with a new fridge and Ellis gas boiler. Totally self efficient when on the cut. LUNA has 3 domestic and 1 starter battery. Her engine is a Air cooled 13HP Lister SR2, located at the Stern. She has a cruiser Stern with engine diesel tank below and gas locker with space for two gas bottles. Yellow rose has been used as a live aboard for the last 8 years, it is a cosy boat and at 65ft it's a good liveable size. It has a log burner as the main source of heating in the front room the dining room table converts into a double bed and there is a large walk in wardrobe for the ladies! Kitchen is a very good size with a gas cooker and hob, hot and cold running water heated by an instant gas heater. Aim4theBank is a 50ft semi-traditional narrowboat currently moored at Caen Hill Marina just outside Devizes. It was built in by Burton Narrowboats and has a Yanmar Shire Diesel Engine. It has 12v electrics with 240v electrics via an 800w inverter when cruising, a battery charger, galvanic isolator, one starter and three domestic batteries. The Eberspächer diesel fired water heater supplies three radiators and hot water by a calorifier heated by the engine, but the solid fuel stove is usually enough to keep it warm and cosy. It has a modern interior with a 19ft open plan living room and kitchen, containing a 240v fridge, gas oven and grill with two hobs, storage space and shelving.
