LUNA is a beautiful 42ft cruiser Stern narrowboat livaboard. She was built in by a company called Harbough Marine with steel hull. I have lived on LUNA for 3 years and had so many happy times. Whatever the season the canal is beautiful. Imagine looking out your window in spring and seeing the ducklings, signets, baby moorhens, goslings, the trees growing, the flowers and blossom sprouting. Watching the trees shed their leaves in autumn and picking blackberries, watching the snow falling around you in winter whilst being cosy inside with the burner lit and, the best bit, summer, sitting on the towpath taking in the colours and smells, talking to the passers by, waving at the other boats going past, sitting in the evening with friends with a glass of wine or beer and a BBQ. And of course cruising, taking in all the above but whilst moving at a peacefull pace with not a care in the world, stopping at the pub for lunch if you fancy. If you want to be in the middle of nowhere or right in town you can be, don't like your neighbours? Just move! LUNA has a new kitchen, living room, bedroom and nice big bathroom. New log burner, vannette gas hob, vanette gg built in gas oven. She comes with a new fridge and Ellis gas boiler. Totally self efficient when on the cut. LUNA has 3 domestic and 1 starter battery. Her engine is a Air cooled 13HP Lister SR2, located at the Stern. She has a cruiser Stern with engine diesel tank below and gas locker with space for two gas bottles. Sweet Pea Built by Unknown - Length: 9.75 metres (32 feet) - Beam: 2.08 metres (6 feet 10 inches). Metal hull N/A power of 999 HP. Registered with Canal & River Trust number as a Powered Motor Boat. Almost finished project, new hull, newly lined and spray foamed and paneled. Gas locker outside. New built double bed currently with a single mattress on. Bathroom with Portopoti toilet and floor and curtain rail for a shower although no water pump installed yet large water tank. Tiles for the kitchen but not completed. Lovely little boat for someone new to boat. Excellent BMC engine runs like a dream with no leaks. We will empty out the extra stuff this week and post better pictures after next week. Yellow rose has been used as a live aboard for the last 8 years, it is a cosy boat and at 65ft it's a good liveable size. It has a log burner as the main source of heating in the front room the dining room table converts into a double bed and there is a large walk in wardrobe for the ladies! Kitchen is a very good size with a gas cooker and hob, hot and cold running water heated by an instant gas heater. Bathroom has an electric pump out toilet and a shower that is big enough to sit in and have a small bath. Back bedroom has a fixed double bed and a heater for the colder nights. The engine room has a bomb proof lister sr2 engine that has never skipped a beat since I have owned it, these engines may be old but looked after they will never stop. There is a boat safety certificate with about 3 years left on it. It's had several surveys done over the years, I had a hull survey done about 3 years ago which was good with no issues. In fact there was a boat of the same size 20 years younger out of the water at the same time and the hull was so much worse than mine the surveyor couldn't believe my boat's age!
