Clydesdale x shire mare, 6 years old, only recently haltered and started handling, 17.1hh or so, she now leads, ties up, loads and catches with a bucket(some days I dont need a bucket), she needs more time spent doing the basics, we have had her feet up but until she is lifting daily I feel this is a not progressing as fast as it could, she is kind natured but genuinely green and big! if you are nervous or novice please do not contact me as you will not be offered her, she will thrive in a routine with a knowledgeable and experienced person who understands the requirements of an unhandled horse of this size. She has been in a herd environment which is not ideal as it means she gets less one to one and the others are all super petted and squish her out the way. I found these collectable cart horse reins in a milk churn that I bought. They are made from wood metal and leather. There is a large hoop on one side, 2 hooks and a strap.
