Koran: diameter 3.5 cm, thickness 2.5 cm - all pages hand-written in hexagonal text panels - 8 illuminated pages - comes in beautiful lacquer box, hand-painted with floral motifs - the box is probably from Persia, 19th century - Dim. box: diameter 11 cm, height 6 cm - whether the manuscript and the box are connected historically is not certain - the Koran was probably made for a pilgrimage or voyage.Condition: very good. It contains nearly 400 pages and the gold embossed leather cover measures 20 x 12 cm.Condition: The first pages are in very poor condition but otherwise this script is in good condition, considering it's age (259 years old). Please look at he photos carefully. All the Surah are included. Only the first page is missing, and the Surah of the Al-Fatiha is not complete but all others are ok. The manuscript has two covers.
