Islamic manuscript of the Holy Koran. Signed by El-Hac al-Mustafa student of Sharif Hassan. It contains nearly 400 pages and the gold embossed leather cover measures 20 x 12 cm.Condition: The first pages are in very poor condition but otherwise this script is in good condition, considering it's age (259 years old). Please look at he photos carefully. All the Surah are included. Only the first page is missing, and the Surah of the Al-Fatiha is not complete but all others are ok. The manuscript has two covers. Both of them are leather and decorated. All the pages are heightened with gold. A few pages have special border or coloured floral decorations. Read More

In addition to Mary with the infant Jesus and an adult Jesus, also the Pope is depicted (a reference to Council of Trent?). In some places the print is gilt-heightened.
