ORIGINAL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN / EDWARDIAN CHESTERFIELD SOFA Attractive buttoned back piece of individual furniture. It has been reupholstered in recent years and the dusky pink velvet is in excellent condition. May need reupholstering at some point though as the springs are very bouncy. Very comfortable, but we have too much furniture and we need the space. Extremely heavy hardwood frame with turned bung feet at the front and straight legs at the back. A lovely old sofa which has been re-upholstered about 2 years ago. The fabric on the seat has some discolouration from the sheepskin throw we have on it but I think it would come off if cleaned. The rest of the sofa is clean and looks really smart. The fabric is Villa Nova Soft Malmo Cobweb. The sofa is very comfortable but the seat will probably need re doing in about a year or two, depending on how much you use it. The legs have been treated for woodworm.
