Dutch designer wall light (presumably, because there is no mark any more) designed by Hiemstra Evolux in the s. The lamp has a white, fabric shade which is attached to a metal arm and a black wall bracket. The lamp swivels to the left and right. The lamp can also be adjusted in length, between 50 and 90 cm. Shade diameter is 30 cm, height is 15 cm. The white shade shows some spots (please see photos).The light has been used and is at least 40 years old, so don't expect it to be in new condition! Clear Art Deco influences on this beautiful wall unit, which was used in a curtain store in Nice for many years as a measurement and payment counter. It contains two sliding doors and a drawer, the inside has one beam from side to side. The piece of furniture is entirely made of oak wood, of which one layer of the black veneer has been slightly damaged at the bottom, but it can be replaced. The measure of length is 2.48 metres, the depth is approx. 64 cm, height is approx. 84 cm. The cabinet is stored in Weesp because we are moving houses. Splendid mid century cascade pendant lightUnknown designer/manufacturer. Raak Amsterdam has made more of this type of cascade lamp but it cannot be proven this one is from there.There is still alabel in the ceiling divider, with articl numbers.Polished glass shades. The cylinders above the shades are plastic and these are coated with a palissander wood pattern and a gold decorative band.The ceiling divider is in the shape of a star.It takes E27 bulbs.Measurements:The height of the lowest shade to the arm of the ceiling divider is: 80 cm (ceiling divider height is 5 cm)Height of the shade and cover: 24.5 cmDiameter of the glass shade: 8 cmCondition:Very good to excellent considering its age.Each shade has slight chip damage at the top edge but this is hidden under both the ring over the fitting holder and the cylinder, thus it remains out of sight.Further, the shades are pristine, including the bottom edge.The original wiring has been checked and we have added 5 new strain reliefs above the shades for additional security.The lamps hang in cascade. The distances between the heights are not 100% symmetrical but this can be achieved by shortening the cables at some points.The photos provide a good impression. Read More

Lovely shape and colour, and special technique.Designer and manufacturer unknown.The design is very organic with a beautifully shaped shade. The colour of the glass shade is between honey and beige. The light effect is very warm.Although this lamp is usually attributed to the Art Deco period (s), we suspect it is from the early s.The mounting mechanism is special; the metal ceiling plate has a handle so three sliding plates can be turned towards the inside or outside, so the shade is clamped down securely. It reminds us of the mechanism of old vaults.Although it is meant as a ceiling light, it can also be attached to the wall.Takes one E27 light bulb, in a screw fitting. The fitting is made of brass and porcelain.Measurements:Diameter: 24.3 cmHeight: 10.5 cmCondition:Very good for its age and use.Glass shade is completely pristine. A bit rough on the inside and some chips missing, but not visible.Some light surface scratches that aren't noticeably in daily use. The metal ceiling plate has light corrosion, particularly on the special clamping mechanism. The mechanism works.
