Monitor Mixer - Bespoke 8ch / 3 way splitter with Studiomaster 8ch mixer in flight case

Bespoke, rack mounted splitter box with 8ch Studiomaster mixing desk in Flight case. Had this beast made for me around 15 years ago and used with the band as my personal monitor desk with in ear monitors. Will take 8 channel inputs and split them 3 ways, so one set of outputs went to the mixer and then to my in ear monitors, one set went on to the PA for FOH and another set went to a mixer for the drummer so he could control his own monitor mix too. So, with this system, you can send 8 channels to 3 different places. It has a 3U rack space for what ever you wish to mount in it (I had a minidisc player and a radio mic receiver) and brackets for a half U item on top (where the IEM receiver went). Internally, I have 4 gang power, which connects out to a single IEC (kettle lead) to power the whole thing. There are 2 BNC switched sockets for the gooseneck lights. The mixer is on a rachet so will pop up for use and fold back down to be neatly all packed away inside the flight case. Sadly, I have had no need for this since I stopped playing live with the band around 10 years ago, and it has sat in my bedroom gathering dust. Come to that time when I need to pass it on (baby on the way, so toys etc having to go). Lost track of how much I spent on this box of tricks, but the flight case alone was £225. Selling as seen as I have no time/necessary equipment to test it thoroughly, but everything powers up and I have no reason to doubt it will all work - just can't guarantee it! On offer here is a Studiomaster Vision 708 powered mixer. It's got eight input channels, two of which can take stereo sources. There is a separate monitor output and internal effects. (The built in amplifier can be used to drive speakers from the main mix or monitor send) Power output is about 300w into an 8ohm load, so ideal for most medium sized PA speakers like Electrovoice SX300 or Bose 802. Mixing Desk Studiomaster Session Mix 16-2 Gold

Much loved 16 channel Studiomaster mixing desk for sale with beautiful British EQ and modular construction. This has been used to record several albums and gigged very occasionally too. It's a very solidly build and sweet sounding desk but I've finally had to accept that I'm never going to use it again and so I'm looking for someone who can give it a loving home. Condition is good with a full compliment of knobs and faders and all the LEDs etc work. It has 16 channels, all with mic and line inputs, inserts and direct outs, 4 aux sends, a great sounding 3 band EQ with sweepable mid. There's phantom power, XLR main outs with inserts and the usual returns and tape input in the Control section. It's a modular construction, meaning that each channel is on its own circuit board and all the XLR connectors are bolted in individually so in the unlikely event that one channel should fail, the rest of the mixer will continue to function perfectly. It has a home made flight case which is not going to win any beauty competitions, but has kept it safe and sound and you're welcome to take it (or not, as the case may be). There is some residue from stickers where channels have been labelled which I've not cleaned off, partly from a "where do you stop" point of view. It should clean off fairly easily and you may be someone who wants to take off all the knobs and faders and get it really looking pristine – or you may apply a fresh strip of masking tape, "old school" style. I've given this a goog test and all channels are working fine but you're welcome to come and give it a really thorough one over before buying to make sure you're completely happy with it. Read More
